Testimonials

During my son’s 7th grade basketball season at Scott Middle in Georgetown we were fortunate to get some time to work with Scott. He did a great job with my son. Scott got more out of him than anyone he has worked with in the past. All the while, my son enjoyed the time and interaction with someone that has had the success that Scott has had during his basketball career. Two of his post moves that he uses we honorably refer to as the “Hundley” moves since he never used them prior to his time spent with Scott. In a game last week he used one of the “Hundley” moves while Scott was visiting. They are now part of his regular game. In terms of teaching, coaching, and professionalism there are none better than Coach Hundley. Our loss was the gain of many Montgomery County fans and potential basketball players. We miss our time spent with him and welcome the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

My son has been taking private lessons with Coach Hundley for several months. Ben has always had a passion for basketball. It has been his favorite sport since he was old enough to pickup a ball. Whenever I mentioned doing the private lessons with Coach Hundley, Ben seemed to be hesitant. Saturday morning was the only morning he could sleep in. After tryouts at McNabb, Ben made a comment to me about taking private lessons with Hundley that showed me we had made a great decision in “forcing” him to get up early on the one day he could rest. Ben said, “Mom, the private lessons with Hundley are the best thing you have ever made me do.” He felt so good about his efforts at tryouts and contributed that feeling to the lessons he had been taking. As parents, we have seen a huge improvement in Ben’s abilities on the floor. The hesitation before the shot is no longer and he can FINALLY play defense. Ben will continue with private lessons as long as Coach Hundley can put up with him. We appreciate the time that Coach Hundley has dedicated to Ben’s future in basketball as well as the other future players at Montgomery Co. High School.
